Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) is now
The Association of Lifetime Lawyers

SFE was founded in 1996 with a mission to make sure that when people are vulnerable, they have access to a legal professional with the skills and experience to help.

Our mission remains the same. Our name and look is a little different.

Why did SFE need a new name?

A lot has changed since SFE was founded, and now is the right time to update our name and brand.

We’ve evolved over the decades and our mission has broadened; we are no longer simply Solicitors for the Elderly.

Our members are legal professionals who are experts in advising a whole spectrum of people on key legal decisions throughout their lifetime, with a particular specialism of supporting older people and those in vulnerable circumstances.

Who is The Association of Lifetime Lawyers?

We’re a community of legal professionals working to support older and vulnerable people with the right legal advice.

When people don’t have access to specialist legal advice, the impact for them and their loved ones can be devastating.

We’re experts in advising people on key legal decisions about their future – from wills and powers of attorney, to advice on care funding and inheritance tax. Our members are the most qualified lawyers in the country in this area of law.
