Ian Bond will go through latest updates from the portal and other things for estate practitioners to think about - ie changes to excepted estates regulations, how TRS affects estate administration as well as other useful tips.

About the speaker

Ian Bond, specialises in trust formation and administration, wealth succession, estate planning and making wills. He is experienced in dealing with high value and complex estates, especially intestacy matters. He is a member of the Law Society’s Wills and Equity Committee and contributed five chapters to the Law Society publication ‘The Probate Practitioners Handbook’; on topics of client care, complaint handling and costs as well as on dealing with digital assets on death. He has also written a number of articles for both legal and non-legal publications on various topics as well fulfilling speaking engagements for local Law Societies, and other organisations.

Ian was the inaugural sector lead for professional services at the Black Country Business Festival in 2018, and he took that role on again last year.  He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Law Society Private Client Section and is a Trustee of the independent Law Society Charity.
